About Me

My research interests span feminist disability studies, queer/trans studies, African American studies and U.S. literature and culture.

I am a feminist, queer, disabled educator and researcher.

My current book project revises genealogies of early disability activisms in the U.S. to consider the roles of race, gender and sexuality in an emerging disability consciousness.

My work has appeared in venues such as the Journal of Literary and Cultural Disability Studies, Modernism/Modernity, Journal of Modern Literature and Modern Fiction Studies. I am currently co-editing a forthcoming special issue of The Journal of Feminist Scholarship on “Visionary Politics and Methods in Feminist Disability Studies” with Dr. Ashley Mog.
